Do Your Thing In a Brand New Way
You know what? Fear is for conformists. You are not a conformist. You know how the world needs to see and do your thing differently.
Do Your Thing In a Brand New Way
Allow me to introduce you to waff-nuts.⠀
On another rainy Sunday morning a few years ago, the kids and I were dreaming up something fun for breakfast.
We had acquired a mini donut maker on a whim once while wandering through a department store. Why not make waffles in the mini donut maker? The waff-nut was born and has been a lazy morning breakfast staple since.⠀
Waffles aren’t new, nor are mini donuts. Together, they are an exciting departure from the usual and feel just a little more decadent than the regular boxy breakfast food of my youth. ⠀
Where can you do the same with your products or services? Can you turn financial management into a love story (looking at you, Lynne Somerman)? Can you gamify self care? ⠀
What do people need? And then what do they *want*? Can you invent a whole new approach that combines the two?⠀
Oftentimes, what holds us back is fear. Fear of losing a customer, fear of being misunderstood, fear of being ridiculed or shamed by the industry or your peers.⠀
You know what? Fear is for conformists. You are not a conformist. You know how the world needs to see and do your thing differently.⠀
Wanna know a secret? The world WANTS to see things differently. They will take notice and embrace novelty. You will stand out as an innovator and as someone who obviously gets it. Which leads to…. a market that wants everything you’ve got.⠀
⠀
Tell me in the comments…
How can you do your thing in a brand new way? What do you notice your market asking about, getting excited about, that you could build in to what you offer?⠀
