“There was not a shred of ‘um, that’s impossible’…just a solid connection to what it’s gonna take to get there.”

“There was not a shred of ‘um, that’s impossible’…just a solid connection to what it’s gonna take to get there.”

That’s what building a business looks like, in real life. Any outcome is possible, but, like these business owners in my tribe, you’re going to have to do the work.

“There was not a shred of ‘um, that’s impossible’…just a solid connection to what it’s gonna take to get there.”

My tribe is made up of doers… people who hit a challenge head-on, are not afraid to work hard for what they want, and know that there’s a balance between passion and determination.

They come to me with the energy to put behind … something… but they are, as one client put it the other day, like a wound-up race car with the brakes on.

Man, I love them.

It’s my duty to honour the desires and vision that every client brings to the table. It is not my job to tell you it can’t be done. It’s my job to find you a path through all the thickets – one you can negotiate without losing anything you hold dear.

That’s what’s so important about a personal touch, and why courses and books will only get you so far. If your roadmap is going to work, it’s got to take into consideration all of you – your values and your dealbreakers, your quirks and needs, your realities and constraints, and that big, looming passion that’s driving you forward.

I had a client tell me a couple of weeks ago that she was advised to just pack up her business and try something else. Can you imagine waking up the next day and trying to do anything after that?

So, maybe your big idea needs to be tweaked a little. Together, we will be able to pick out the pieces that are REALLY critical and build around those so those tweaks don’t feel like losing the heart of your plan.

The lovely lady whose quote I lovingly prepared up there came to me in one place and has pivoted twice in a few months to a couple of new directions, but she doesn’t mind so much because she’s still on the road to her vision. She’s just adjusted as she watched and learned.

I know she is getting closer and closer to her perfect place because she just keeps listening and she hasn’t given up. Every time we meet, she’s got some new information and we make another tweak to her plan.

That’s what building a business looks like, in real life. Any outcome is possible, but, like these business owners in my tribe, you’re going to have to do the work.

Tell me in the comments…

Are you the pent up race car or have you already hit the victory lap? When did everything click?
