You Don’t Need To Create Struggle To Make It Feel Real

Ditch that mentality, that yoke you’re wearing that says only hard things are real. Train yourself to believe that when it’s calm and easy, it’s right.

You don’t need to create struggle to make it feel real.

It always amazes me how much business owners fight against what’s easy and right for them. As if, somehow, if there’s no friction or anxiety, there’s something wrong.

How have we gotten to be so used to struggle that we mistrust the calm?

One of the things I stand for is removing friction from my clients’ businesses. If you lean into what you really want and entertain the possibility that that can actually be what you get, you’ll notice a whole lot of … nothing. And that’s good.

When something’s not right, we feel it. We notice the knots in our stomachs, the fluttering heartbeat, the nagging feeling that we need to move in another direction, step away or fix something.

But when we just walk in the direction that feels easy, all of that friction goes away. And we stand there, wondering where the uneasiness is.

What lots of people do then is they hurry to make something more difficult, or complex, or painful … because it makes it feel real.

That’s crazy.

Think about it. It’s crazy!

What would happen if you just did exactly what you want? Made a work schedule based on what you wanted to do? Asked for the price you really wanted to make?Took a day off? Read a book for an hour in the middle of the day?

Probably nothing, except you’d feel happier.

Here’s the thing… you keep telling yourself all these desirable things are things you can’t have because they just aren’t possible.

You can’t take a week off a month…. or can you? You can’t sell only your favourite program… or can you?

Of course you can.

Ditch that mentality, that yoke you’re wearing that says only hard things are real. Train yourself to believe that when it’s calm and easy, it’s right.

I had a client look at me, confused, when I showed her her plan. She told me it looked “too good to be true”. Well, my dear, it’s as real as can be. We took what she was doing already, shifted her focus to the place she liked being most and managed to double her income for the year.

Without the struggle.

Wouldn’t you prefer that reality?⠀

Tell me in the comments…

Where are you creating struggle that doesn’t need to be there?⠀
